Cleaning stair carpets when a stair lift is fitted

Today many properties have stair lifts fitted. 

When we take enquiries, we are asked how do you clean the carpets when this is in the way?

We use various hand tools, normally 3 inches wide, that allow us to clean the vast majority of the area in question.

For those more awkward areas, we will use a tool 1.5 inches wide and clean terry towels.

This is an everyday occurrence for us, and this obstacle does not phase us.

The cost is exactly the same even if the lift was not in place.
