Using a variety of systems and methods to exercise the safest practice.
As an example of safety using steam extraction with Wilton’s would be very dangerous. What we mean is that this fibre is susceptible to shrinkage. So what method would be used? Dry or Low Moisture or hot water extraction?
Our training and vast knowledge plus in excess of twenty years expereince alert us to the best method.
Steam extraction
As we know the temperature is hot. But we go further than that. Our machinery is capable of achieving heat up to 130f. At this level what you see is vapour.
This penetrates the fibres from tip to base. Addressing 100% of the material.
Advantages of this method are
1/ Removes grease and grime
2/ Refreshes fibres
3/ Destroys microorganisms such as bacteria, allergens, and dust mites.
4/ Helps in the removal of odour
Dry Method
A vapour of cleaning solution is applied. Then very small sponges are spread over an area, that is agitated using counter-rotating machinery.
These sponges have a chemical effect on the vapour of the cleaning solution. They can aid in lifting some of the dirt but not all. This way of cleaning has its limits. This would be used on wet cleanable products.
Low Moisture
We would use this in large areas such as hotels, and business offices.
A buffing machine with a lamb wool pad circles across the floor. The machine has a water release handle. Area coverage is fast and only surface deep.
Cadishead Carpet Cleaners
Before we do anything we action a survey. This tells us what stains are present, dirt levels, odour levels plus a host of other factors. 90% of our work is via the steam extraction system.
We check the fitting, seams, and splits. We may take photographs before we start.
1/ Hoovering. We can not stress how critical this stage is. Removing as much loose debris as
possible stops the muck going into our truck mount, forming mud and sludge.
2/ Apply our alkaline solution. Our arsenal is quite vast and each alkaline has a specific job to do. Understanding chemistry is the difference between an average result and outstanding results.
What combination of solutions is used will depend on what requires removing such as
This can be split into several levels.
1/ Straight forward meaning the section being worked on is flushed using water, and small amounts of urine destroyer.
2/ Medium is where several areas require work. Using a UV torch to identify multiple areas of contamination. We may need to flush the area under high pressure and then apply a urine application to destroy the salts which cause the smell.
3/ Removing a carpet from the room to allow us access to the underlay. This is removed. The subfloor is addressed. Refit using new padding. Refit followed by steam extraction.

Grease is the normal reason for our service. On the arms, headrests and seating area. Proven solutions are used to relieve your furniture of this. Before any work, we carry out a detailed survey.

Sofa cleaning is intricate so we use a four-inch hand tool. Water pressure and flow are kept to a minimum to ensure faster drying times.
Upon completion, we use clean white towels to reset the nap.
Hides come in different varieties. Being able to recognise them is very important.
We test for colour runs, rips and tears, grease marks and other stains during our inspection.
Once our survey is complete we can commence.
First, we use an alkaline solution diluted that aids in breaking down grease, dirt and smells.
Next, we use a leather cleaning cream. We repeat the process.
Our solutions not only clean deep into the pores but also feed the skin. Giving the back its nourishment that allows them to be supple.
Stains
We are skilled in removing marking such as
Red Wine– In the event of spillage may we suggest blotting what you can then call us.
Excrement– This bodily accident happens. Both human and animal.
To remove this contamination you must act quickly.
Urine will sink into the underlay. For small amounts, we can remove this using certain solutions and steam extraction. The heavier urinated areas may require your underlay to be removed and subfloor treated.
Vomit– Removing the solids, to begin with. The smell is probably the most noticeable problem with this. Use cold water to constantly flush the area of concern. Once this is completed we now apply odour eating enzyme. Allow this to dwell then use steam extraction to sanitise.
