Carpet cleaners Northwich
Our Carpet cleaners in Northwich are seasoned professionals which is something we are very proud of.
We have been carpet cleaning Northwich now for over twenty years. The vast majority of work comes via recommendation.
Identification of materials and fibres is critical.
To do this, we take a small fibre and carry out two tests. One is called the burn test, and the other is the float test.
The first gives us a good sign of what we are dealing with. If a little hesitant, the second will quantify this.
We have trained our team members with both the Ncca and Iicrc. These are insurance-recognised schools that run courses for anyone interested in entering this industry. Not everyone will pass.
Every person in our company has attended every course. From basic to advance which includes stain removal. To quantify this, no operative will work on their own until they have completed our in-house training, which is six months, and a minimum of 600 hours, with a qualified operative.
Northwich Carpet Cleaners
As mentioned, identification is very important.
Whatever method is undertaken, we always hoover.
This will put all the loose debris in the vacuum and not our truck mount.
For this customer, we were fixing an issue caused by another tradesperson.
They had placed plastic sheeting on the carpets that had adhesive on the reverse. If this was laid down for a few days, it would just vacuum off. It was down for six weeks to when the time come to remove it , all the gum had transferred onto the fibres.
To remove this, we use a specialist solution that we spray onto the carpet and agitate gently with a brush. Leaving this for around fifteen minutes to dwell. After this time, steam cleaned the areas to remove the solvent.
Once that was complete, we proceeded to clean the whole room.
Also known as hot water extraction. This is where water temperature hits 99f. Anything above which is steam.
Using water at this level is the most common method used.
Benefits of using this level of heat include deep penetration into the fibres, and removal of grease, dirt, and soils. Breaks down odours and eliminates most stains.
As an example, if it was a lounge we were working on, this is what we would do.
1/ Slowly vacuum the entire room. Hair strands, grit, and other particles will be removed.
2/ Dependent on soil levels, we will decide which solution to use. We always use alkaline chemicals.
These are sprayed under force into the fibres.
3/ Agitation of the chemical will ensure that 100% of the filaments will be addressed.
4/ We leave this to dwell for at least ten minutes to get to work.
5/ Set up our machinery.
6/ Regulate the temperature and water pressure, which is normally 300psi. We can reduce or increase this depending on the level of dirt.
7/ Add a specialist acid to the freshwater tank and a defoamer agent to the recovery tank.
8/ We now work. Working from the right to left from the furthest point in the room.
9/ Address all stains we find.
Drying times vary depending upon the humidity. Although touch dry, to become bone dry would take between 1 and 3 hours.
If working on an additional area, we would place an air mover to speed up the drying times.
What is the typical cost?

When dealing with soft furnishing we must understand what fabric it is. Cotton, polyester, nylon, silk. If you use an incorrect solution or method you will cause permanent damage. The majority of furniture can be wet cleaned. Some may require low moisture or dry method.
What hide do you have? We recognise these as we are trained. Many folk use wipes and other household products. This is not the correct way to maintain the luxury of any leather.
We use a specific process.
Degreasing. Stain removal if possible. Reclean and nourish. Feeding gives the leather the suppleness to extend its longevity.
Refrain from using shop products. These contain bleaches and do have a warning in their small print. Buyer beware. All you are doing is diluting the mark and spreading it. Over time it will return via wicking.
Living in a busy environment will have those unexpected mishaps. Accidental spillages are the most common. An invisible barrier assists you in dabbing up any spillage. This is an additional charge.
Both animal and human urine incidents require a specific process for elimination.
We suggest you seek professional assistance. In the event of colour change, eg. orange or yellow discolorisation this will be bleached and will remain. In certain instances depending on the fibre, we can recolour the damaged area.
We understand the temptation to try it yourself. Seems easy?
